Show Description: I saw this week that the high court of the United Methodist Church was considering the case of Anne Gordon, who is now Drew Phoenix. Anne/Drew is a pastor at St. John's United Methodist Church in Maryland, which is self described as, "ain't your daddy's church." So I got to thinking: would you be alright with a transgender individual as your kid's teacher? Or would you be ok with a transgender individual baptizing your kids? Or would you be ok with a transgender individual as your attorney? Join the conversation as we discuss what seemingly is in the news more and more these days.

Show Guest: Erin Swenson

Quotes to Live By
"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him [Jesus]: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the son of God: or else a madman or something worse."
-C.S. Lewis

"I feel we as human beings easily accept our reared religion, as other people in their religion may feel as passionate about their religion as you...Islam Christianity and all others meant well, but the way the are interpreted as a whole have resulted in some discrepancies. I am Agnostic."
