Defending Islam?
Original Air Date: January 14, 2007 AudioLink_2007_0114
Show Category: Islam
Show Description: I was reading through the AJC this week and I came across an editorial from a Marietta man, named Sameh Abdelaziz. His basic point was that Islam doesn't need to defend itself to the world because Christianity, and other religions, have just as much to explain. To him, religious followers can't be defined by the acts of extremists. So I have brought him in to the studio and we are going to have a civilized, but frank conversation about religion. Join the conversation as we look at the differences between the religions.

Rejoin #4  Garden of Allah by Don Henley
And the hills are burning…And the wind is raging…And the clock strikes midnight in the garden of Allah

Rejoin #5  Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning by Alan Jackson
Did you feel guilty cause you were a survivor... in a crowded room did you feel alone... did you call up your mother and tell her you love her... did you dust off that Bible at home

Rejoin #6  The Taliban Song by Toby Keith
Now they attacked New York City because they thought they could win... said they'd stand and fight until the very bloody end…Mr Bush got on the phone with Iraq and Iran and said now... you better not be doing any business with that Taliban

Show Guest: Sameh Abdelaziz

Take Allen's Poll
Are America's Best Days Behind Them?
Yes. Everyone should be buying gold.
No. Everything will return to normal.
Not sure yet. I am waiting and seeing.
Allen's Top Five 5 BBQ Restaurants
1. Tucker's BBQ in Macon, Georgia. Unbelievable food. Words cannot describe.
2. Fincher's BBQ - Macon, Georgia. Why does Macon have such good BBQ?
3. Ole' Timer BBQ. Rome, Georgia. Great food but check out the BBQ Turkey. One of a kind.
4. Sprayberry's BBQ - Newnan, GA. Barbecue is good, but the Brunswick stew and onion rings are divine.
5. Shane's Rib Shack and BBQ - the original on Hwy. 155 in McDonough is superb. Ribs and pulled pork!
