My Father Was a Sperm Donor
Original Air Date: January 7, 2007 AudioLink_2007_0107
Show Category: Family
Show Description: 18-year old Katrina Clark recently wrote an article in the Washington Post about what it was like to be born where her mother accepted a sperm donation when she was 32-years old. In vitro fertilization is becoming more and more common (including situations where parents want to be able to choose "traits" of their child), so I figured it was about time to talk about it. What constitutes being a parent? Is Katrina's "dad" really a "dad?" Join the conversation as we examine this somewhat taboo topic.
