Serving children and families since 1924, Murphy-Harpst is a childcare agency rich in history. Today, MH remains committed to meeting the needs of children and their families in Georgia.
Our current multi-dimensional program grows out of this rich history. Founded in 1931, the Sarah D. Murphy Home was the one of the first orphanages in the state of Georgia for African-American children. The Ethel Harpst Center, located on 154 wooded acres in Cedartown, Georgia, was founded in 1924 to care for dependent children in need from the rural areas and mill communities. Over the years, the programs of Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers has grown to meet the changing needs of children and families.
Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers, Inc. is an independent not-for-profit agency related to the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. The services of Murphy-Harpst are available to all children regardless of sex, race, color, or creed, whose needs can be addressed and treated within the scope of program services with the financial resources of the agency. |

It may not be about right or left but about right and wrong; but that doesn't mean we don't vote!

Allen's Top Five 5 BBQ Restaurants
1. Tucker's BBQ in Macon, Georgia. Unbelievable food. Words cannot describe.
2. Fincher's BBQ - Macon, Georgia. Why does Macon have such good BBQ?
3. Ole' Timer BBQ. Rome, Georgia. Great food but check out the BBQ Turkey. One of a kind.
4. Sprayberry's BBQ - Newnan, GA. Barbecue is good, but the Brunswick stew and onion rings are divine.
5. Shane's Rib Shack and BBQ - the original on Hwy. 155 in McDonough is superb. Ribs and pulled pork!

Quotes to Live By
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will ? to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."
-Ephesians 1:3-6
