Show Description: Faith can be defined as the secure belief in God, and a trusting acceptance of God's will. People of faith know that God is real, He is love, and He is omnipotent. While faith calls us to accept God?s will (His plan), it does not make the understanding of why things happen any easier. During the month of August, a number of terrible commercial airline crashes occurred. The air disasters include a Helios Airways crash near Athens, Greece killing all 121 aboard, a Western Caribbean Airways charter flight crash in Venezuela killing all 160 aboard, and an Air France flight that crashed in Toronto. In the Air France crash, the 309 passengers and crew all survived. Why were the passengers and crew on the Air France flight spared? My faith tells me that they survived because that was God?s will. Apart from helping me accept things that I cannot explain, my faith also tells me that when I die, there will be life after death. People who have had near death experiences can shed some light on what heaven and hell will be like.

Quotes to Live By
"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him [Jesus]: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the son of God: or else a madman or something worse."
