Show Description: Mildred Loving died this week. I am ashamed to say, even as a history major, I had no clue who she was until this week. Mildred achieved "fame" when her marriage was taken to the Supreme Court because, and here's the kicker, as a black woman, she was married to a white man. Eventually the Supreme Court held up their marriage, which paved the way for legal, interracial marriage. But it got me thinking about race and relationships and how often I get asked if I would mind if my daughter dated a black man. Join the conversation as we look at relationships and why race is the least of my concerns.
