Texas, director of science curriculum, says she was forced to resign due to evolution politics

Atlanta school board that put stickers in its high school science books that said evolution is "a theory, not a fact" abandoned the legal battle after four years.

The Cobb County board agreed in federal court never to use a similar sticker or to undermine the teaching of evolution in science classes

In another case, the president of the University of Idaho issued a letter forbidding faculty from teaching alternatives to Darwin's theory in science classes there.

New research by famed paleontologist Meave Leakey in Kenya calls into question the evolution of our ancestors – probably never hear that in a classroom

Not education

Education teaches kids to think and to question– not tow the party line

Evaluate data, make judgments and decisions

Contrast opposing points of view and defend their own

These so-called teachers and scholars are destroying very idea of education

And almost no one is saying a thing about it

Let a principal fail to do the research and hire a sexual predator, parents would revolt

But fail to allow debate, opposing views, free thought

Silence is deafening – and deadly
