  • Pete wrote to us at the Georgian Innocence Project for our help
  • We looked into the case, and sure enough the DNA proved he was innocent so we took his case
  • It was amazing that they found the evidence from the GBI as it should have be destroyed years before
  • Initially they thought it would take six months to get him out, but it took six days
  • 10 years into his 22 years in prison, Pete found God because he started going to church just because he liked to sing.
  • His faith saved him while in prison, and kept him sane.
  • He doesn't blame the victim
  • Atlanta has been very welcoming towards the men who are released, other cities sure haven't
  • Six people have been exhonerated, three through the Georgia Innocence Project
  • Pete had not been alone for 21 years
  • I love being an American, and what makes America America is our justice system. Anything I can do to bring integrity to the system is worth it.
